Techni-Print Color Laser Transfer Paper

Produce photo-quality color transfers with your laser printer

Techni-Print paper allows you to transfer your photos and images to T-shirts, Sweatshirts, mouse pads, coasters, puzzles, canvas bags, binders, pad-folios, paper, leather, magnets, wood, nylon, and more. Techni-Print works in most color laser printers and color laser copiers including those that do not use fuser oil (such as OkiData's and HP 4500 and HP 8500.)

Storage and Imaging Conditions
Always store Techni-Print in the zip-lock bag provided until use. Best imaging results obtained at humidity levels between 50-60% RH.

Imaging
     - The unprinted (vs. side with back print) surface is the imaging side of the paper.
     - Make sure your image is flipped or that your have selected the Mirror Image or reverse image setting on your printer's driver.
     - Feed the Techni-Print according to the printer manufacturer's directions. (The side with "Techni-Print" on it is the backside). Any questions as to how to properly feed paper into your specific brand and model should be referred to the owner's manual or the machine's manufacturer.
     - Check printer settings (Ultra heavy paper mode is recommended); single-sheet feeding is recommended.

Cut Out Design
     - As with any transfer it is recommended to trim the design before transferring.
     - For best results use an image with rounded edges to avoid corner liftoff after washing.

Preparing for Transfer and Application (Heat Press Application Required)
(The following is applicable for T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Mouse pads. Other substrates may require special instructions.)
     - Prepare heat press to 400 degrees F. Be sure optimal temperature is attained before attempting to transfer your image.
     - Place your substrate (a white or light colored object of 100% cotton, 50/50 cotton/poly blends or 100% polyester) on the platen of the heat press so that no seams or buttons prevent even pressure in the area to be transferred.
     - Press fabric first if necessary to ensure flatness and remove any moisture, then let cool.
     - Place transfer paper with design facing down in desired position on fabric.
     - Using above recommended temperature, apply firm pressure (60 PSI or greater for 15-20 seconds).
     - HOT peel. Peel the transfer immediately after pressing (Caution transfer will be hot)

Information and Tips for Best Results
     - Do NOT apply to dark fabrics (use Coastal's Laser Dark)
     - Do NOT image this paper in any Ink Jet printer
     - Use in a well-ventilated area.
     - Leave finished item for at least 24 hours before washing.
     - Fabrics may then be machine washed separately (inside out, DO NOT USE BLEACH or bleach additive detergent) in warm or cold water.
     - Do NOT use fabric softener
     - Dry at normal setting; do not dry clean.
     - Keep product in closed package between uses; store in a cool, dry place.
     - To determine proper printer settings for Techni-Print...Start with "Plain Paper" mode-if paper does not fuse completely (toner flakes off) or if toner smears move to "Transparency" mode (this will slow the paper down allowing more time to fuse). If still not satisfied try "Heavy paper" mode.
