Color Paper and Equipment
Konica's ongoing research and development have led to many advancements in the color paper field -- from Long Life prints (which will last approximately 200 years) to color QA Paper to new Digital Paper -- all aimed at enhancing and preserving images for many generations.
In addition to the actual photo itself, Konica is consistently updating and improving its photo processing systems. A new era of minilabs was ushered in 1984 when Konica introduced the world's first no-wash color process -- the Konica Nice Print System. The company went on to create an even more compact design of this system, and then introduced the first environmentally-friendly EcoJet system which utilizes easy-to-use solid, tablet from chemicals.
Digital Imaging
Konica provides photos on both Konica PC PictureShow® diskette, Konica OnLine Photo Center, and Photo CD. In 1996, Konica introduced the Picture ID and Picture MD systems. In 1997, it introduced the Q-EZ and Q-Mini digital cameras and Qscan and RX-1 film scanners.
Copiers, Printers and Multifunctional Products
Konica entered the business machines market in 1971 with the introduction of Japan's first photographic plain paper copier. Since then, Konica has brought together a full line of digital printers, copiers, facsimile and multifunctional products as well as application software solutions to meet the demands of our customers' busy office environments.
