What you need:
Inkjet Printable Balloons
Balloon Hardware Kit
Top Loading Inkjet Printer
Free design software or Adobe Photoshop
Instructions:
Design your image in the free software that you can download from our website. The software includes birthday, holiday, and misc templates that you can use for free. This software lets you design using borders, text, shapes, and even your own photos. Or you can use Adobe Photoshop to design your own. After designing your image, print directly onto the balloon. Balloons must be printed with a top loading inkjet printer. This means that your printer must have the paper loaded at the top back of the printer, not the bottom. Bottom loading printers make a "U-Turn" when pulling the paper through. Balloons will not easily move through this type of pull through. Pop out your balloon from backing, connect hardware, and blow through straw to inflate.
Technical Support/Help!:
I cannot download the free software - MY DIY BALLOON is not compatible with MAC or 64 bit Windows versions. Make sure that your firewall or Anti-Virus software is not blocking installation from occurring. You may need to turn them off while installing the program.
My printer will not print image aligned with the balloon outline - Your printer is probably setup for letter size paper. The balloon backboards are different. Measure each balloon board's width and height for best accuracy. In your printer's properties, select "user defined" under the paper size tab and enter your measurements. This will ensure that you printer's idea of the paper size and balloon board size are the same.
FAQs
What type of printer and ink should I use?
Use an inkjet printer with regular pigment ink.
Will the ink smear?
No, the ink dries instantly.
Will the balloons float?
No. They are too heavy to float and should be used with air and not helium.
What is included with the balloon?
The balloon and hardware are sold seperately.
How long will they last?
Forever. If your balloon starts to deflate over time, simple re-blow it back up. There should be no fading as long as it is kept away from direct sunlight.
Are they safe?
All parts have been tested and conform to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines as required by section 14(g) of the Consumer Product Safety Act, 15 U.S.C § 2063(g). Due to the small pieces, product could be dangerous to small children.
What is the cost to print a balloon?
We estimate that to print a large 2-sided balloon, front and back, it would cost around 35 cents.
